Adarsha, Purvanchal Sena President, is on the run since his announcement of a bounty of Rs 11 lakh on the head of JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar.

The poster stuck by one of his associates read that “whosoever shoots JNU students union president and seditionist Kanhaiya will be rewarded Rs 11 lakh on the behalf of Purvanchal Sena.”

Meanwhile, police has learned that Sharma, who lives in a rented flat in Rohini, has only Rs 150 in his bank account. For many months, he hasn’t paid rent.

Sharma is a native of Begusarai in Bihar from where Kanhaiya also belongs.

Kanhaiya was arrested on February 12 in connection with a sedition case over a controversial JNU event. He was granted interim bail for six months by the Delhi High Court on March 2 and was released from Tihar jail next day.

Sharma had claimed that Kumar’s house was just 10 kilometres away from his house. “Our land does not produce such anti-nationals. This is why I have decided to do this,” Sharma said.

“We want the traitor dead. He has insulted mother India and raised anti-national slogans. We have faith in the court but it takes a long time for a case to be decided. We want to ensure there is a quick decision.”

The newspaper report quoting a policeman adds that Sharma used to brag to his neighbors about having influential connections top right-wing leaders.
