Kochi, September 12: Young Malayalam actor-director Sidharth Bharathan was seriously wounded after his car allegedly crashed into a roadside wall near here early this morning, police said.
Sidharth who suffered a serious head injury in the crash that occurred at 2 AM at Champakkara, has been admitted to the Medical Trust hospital here. Hospital sources said his condition is serious but stable.
Sidharth is the son of legendary Malayalam film director Bharathan and actress KPAC Lalitha.
Movie stars, including Mammootty and Dileep, visited him in the hospital, sources said.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala telephoned the hospital authorities to enquire about his health condition, they said.
Dileep-starrer ‘Chandrettan Evideya’ directed by Siddharth early this year was a box office success.
