Allahabad, November 28: A woman gave birth to twins even after undergoing tubectomy. Her husband had complained to officials of health department.
Anita (35), wife of Ramachal, a resident of Godaura village in Risia delivered twins, a boy and a girl at the primary health centre in Narsingdeeh on Thursday. The couple already has four sons and a daughter. Anita underwent tubectomy at district woman’s hospital on January 7, 2013. The woman was also given a certificate by the then medical officer. She complained to the authorities at the hospital but no attention was paid.
Now, Anita has seven children and the couple is worried. Ramchal had written a letter to the chief medical officer and raised the issue of negligence.
The CMO said that compensation would be given to the woman. If a woman gets pregnant after tubectomy, she is provided compensation.
