Mangalore, April 23: Addressing the media persons in the press meet held at patrika bhavan on April 22, Monday, yogesh Shetty said in his speech that opposing the autocratic approach of Ravindra Shetty-KJP district president, as many as 65 members will resign from Dakshina Kannada unit of KJP.
He further said, Ravindra Shetty, projected himself as if he is the candidate from Mangalore assembly constituency in the ensuing election, thinking KJP is his own ancestral property, started ignoring senior leaders and sincere workers of the party, which irritated us to take an extreme step, he alleged.
Yogesh Shetty-an independent candidate from Mangalore south constituency told reporters that he had resigned from the KJP after he was being denied ticket and other members expressing resentment and resigning and will support me,he claimed
He also accused Ravindra shetty of having an understanding with BJP leaders and misusing the party’s fund as per his whims and fancy.
B.S.Yeddyurappa-KJP, state president and Dhananjay Kumar, President, election campaign have been intimated in this regard, he said.
Vinutha, Salahuddin, Abdul Basheer among others were present in the meet.
