It has been twelve days since classes began but still there are no permanent lecturers in government colleges. Earlier classes were conducted by guest lecturers but this year as the appointment of guest lecturers in the state is done through online submission of applications, even that is pending, they said.

As the lecturers have not been appointed, students coming from far away places find it difficult as no classes are being conducted. Therefore students led by ABVP demanded the state government to appoint lecturers immediately.

Yathish Kumar, city secretary, Rakshita, Kalavathi and Shubha from Balmata women’s college among others were part of the protest.
