U.A.E Bunts 39th “Koodukatt Sneha Milana; Dr. B.R.Shetty in tears

Dubai,April 26: U.A.E. Bunts  cultural and fun filled 39^th “Koodukatt Milana” was held on April 26,Friday at  JW Marriot hotel in a grand scale.

Prominent business tycoon Dr.B.R.Shetty inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional lamp.

Starting from children to adults there were variety of cultural programmes coupled with variety entertainments throughout day lured the hearts of the audience.

“Appena Thyaga” a small drama has been played by the amateur artists from the community and after watching the drama Dr.B.R.Shetty emotionally burst in to tears and recollected his olden days of his mother’s sacrifice.

While addressing the gathering he said in his speech that we must not ignore our mother because she is the one who is sacrificing in many ways and her blessings will never go waste and not let us get doomed, he said.

Dr.Shetty watched the programme whole day and was impressed by the talents amongst the community people and he was more delighted for dances of tiny tots and it was one step ahead of fashion show models exhibited by Bunts youths, he added.

While speaking Mr.Ganesh Hegde said his father was from Bunts community and mother is Parsee and programmes here were excellent and super class one after another. He also said that we have to give more importance towards moulding our children in a better and his favorite dish is ‘Kori Sukka’, he said jokingly.

On this occasion”Bunta Vibhushana” award has been bestowed on National award winner Kudi Vasantha Shetty.

After receiving the award Kudi Vasantha Shetty said in his speech that we must learn to live how to respect our parents and we should not forget our Tulu tradition and cultures at any cost, he emphasized.

Talents awards have been awarded to small children by Dr.B.R.Shetty.

In the programme Bunts community’s cultural and traditional arts were presented. Filmy dance, Bharata Natya, skits, drama, fashion show, folk dance competition etc have in fact enthralled the audience whole day and spectators were enthusiastically watching the whole proceeds throughout the day.

Overall it was a grand community programme enjoyed by each and every individual attended there.”Zodiac fusion fashion show” by Jayashree Shetty and Shobha Shetty& team has been appreciated and lauded by the audience followed by Kathak dance.

Dance” Choreographer” (Dancer) performed by Symphony Dance Institute children and mix classical dance has also been adjudged the best by audience. Another Hindi mix masala dance choreographed by Pavan and Dr.Arati and performed by Abudhabi children also thrilled the spectators, and Krishnana Kunitha Nrithya by Dubai children has been choreographed by Jayashree Shetty and Swapna Kiran.

Hindi filmy dance’Shambu suthaya’has been choreographed by Jayashree and Jasmith Vivek has been performed by children very well. Sufi dance choreographed by Latha Prasanna Shetty has been performed by Dubai children.

In between choreographer Ganesh Hegde mesmerized the audience with his ‘Ra one’Hindi films Chammak chalo step.

“Appena thyaga” a mini drama directed by Jayaram Rai has been adjudged the best by the audience. In this drama a message of mother’s sacrifice has been conveyed. Jayaram Rai, Jyothika, Sampath shetty, Surekha have brilliantly acted.

 

In folk dance competition, Tulunadu Dance bagged first prize, Shiva Bhakti Ravana dance bagged second prize and Jathre dance bagged third prize.

“Birdha Beere Devapoonja” a historical mini drama was played by vishwanatha Shetty and team. Role of siddu was brilliantly played by Shisha shetty to the utmost satisfaction of everybody.

Devapoonja by Guruprasad shetty, Kanthanna by Ramananda Shetty, Jumadhi by vishwanatha shetty and assistant actors like Balakrishna shetty, Prabhakar Shetty, Anil and Praveen shetty were all executed their roles in this mini drama brilliantly.

Folk songs have been performed by committee members. On this occasion management committee members have been introduced and new committee has also been formed.

In the beginning organizer of the programme Sangeetha Satish shetty has welcomed the gathering.
