Mumbai: Legendary Bengali actress Suchitra Sen’s health condition deteriorated since Friday afternoon, when she was put in noninvasive ventilation at a city hospital.
“She was in ICU. She has been put in noninvasive ventilation system since Friday afternoon,” said Dr Subrata Maitra, her
“We have discussed the step with her family members and then put her on ventilation,” said Dr Maitra.
The 82-year-old actress was admitted to the hospital with respiratory ailment.
She was admitted to this hospital on December 23.
Sen’s fluctuating heart rate and oxygen saturation had been a concern for them, doctors had said in a medical bulletin a couple of days ago.
Infection in her respiratory tract had turned the condition more critical. Earlier, her proposed cataract surgery was also postponed due to the health condition.
