Mumbai: They may be fiercely evasive about reports of their real- life romance, but Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are leaving no stone unturned in putting on a sizzling show of chemistry in their forthcoming biggie, Ram- Leela. In the video of a new song ‘Lahu Muh Lag Gaya’ releasing on Tuesday (today), the two stars are seen teasing each other against a backdrop of extravagant colour before eventually locking lips.
“The song is almost five minutes long and it was shot over nearly a fortnight, with the crew and cast working up to 14 hours a day at times,” a source from the unit tells us, ” Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted to capture the authentic Gujarati culture in the video. The song is a slow dance number.” The PR machinery of the film is going all out to convince the audience that the lead pair, often spotted cosying up to each other publicly, will scorch the screens with their sensuous chemistry.
The video sees Deepika mischievously throw colour on Ranveer in one of the sequences that remind you of the amorous frolic Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan shared in the song ‘ Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan’ from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam . The highlight of the song, though, has to be the kiss.
Bhansali’s Leela takes the lead to lock lips with a visibly amused Ram.
Like his last film Guzaarish , Bhansali has composed the songs of this film too, with his regular choice Shail Hada providing the vocals for ‘Lahu Muh Lag Gaya’. The elaborate set erected in a suburban Mumbai studio for the number bore every minute stamp of Bhansali’s lavish style, down to the ethnic grandeur.
