Mumbai: It was a mutual admiration society of sorts as Amitabh Bachchan and Chris Gayle discovered that each was a fan of the other. It all started when Chris gifted his Spartan bat to Amitabh and expressed that he loved ‘his movies and his style’.
Amitabh, who has regaled film buffs for over four decades, took to various social media platforms to express his happiness over getting the token of love from the international batting sensation.
He posted, “Mr. Chris Gayle… What an honour… I never knew you would know me… So humbled. We are all great fans of yours!
He went on to add, “Chris Gayle .. !! I mean CHRIS GAYLE a fan of Hindi movies and presents me a golden bat autographed !!?? I mean this is revelation.”
After Amitabh thanked him, Gayle posted: “See you soon in India.”
Amitabh, who was last seen on the big screen in 2016’s ‘Wazir’, is currently recuperating from a mild neck ailment. He will next be seen in ‘TE3N’.
