Mumbai: Though Priyanka Chopra has been in Los Angeles since the past couple of months, the actress has not lost track of what is happening back home. As soon as she realised that the National Award winners list had been announced, she took sometime off from the shoots and called up to congratulate the winners. Priyanka was particularly happy with Kangana’s Best Actress Award for Queen that she called up the actress to congratulate her. In fact it was quite surprising to see this as Priyanka herself was nominated in the same category for Mary Kom. However, she didn’t let the loss dampen her spirit and called her Fashion co-star and expressed her happiness.
The two girls chatted about how the industry and the perception to heroines were changing and that Kangana winning the award only meant there were good times ahead. Priyanka was especially pleased with Kangana’s award as the two had bagged National Awards for their film Fashion a couple of years back.
