Mumbai: Producer-director Karan Johar took to Twitter Wednesday to announce the release date of ‘Shaandaarr’, a film starring Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Karan tweeted: “Dharma and Phantom proudly present SHAANDAAR…starring SHAHID and ALIA…directed by Vikas Bahl…releasing on September 4th,2015!!! (sic).”
Touted as India’s first destination wedding film, ‘Shaandaar’ is jointly produced by KJo’s Dharma Productions and Phantom Films.
The shooting of the film concluded a few weeks back in London.
Alia will be seen romancing Shahid, her childhood crush, for the first time onscreen. And it will certainly be interesting to see if they chemistry sets the silverscreen ablaze.
Veteran actor and Shahid’s real-life father Pankaj Kapoor too is a part of the film.
