Mumbai: For quite sometime, reports of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s impending wedding are doing the rounds and it was also reported that Neetu Kapoor has given marriage ultimatum to her son. As per report, she wants her son to settle down by 2016. But now the veteran actor Neetu Kapoor said that she wants her ladla beta to settle down soon but she has no clue when he will actually take the big step of his life.
At a recent event, when she was asked about Ranbir’s marriage plans, mommy dearest said, “See whenever he is ready, we are ready. Its all up to him…I really have no clue. Because aaj kal ke bachchon ka kuch pata nahi hota. When they get ready…when they gonna get married…what they want to do. They are absolutely on their own trip so I don’t know.”
She further added, “As a mother of course I do want him to get married soon. But I don’t think he is ready. I don’t know maybe in a year or two years.” In that case, wethinks 2016 might just be the year when we hear wedding bells in the Kapoor khandaan.
Neetu Kapoor also revealed how her family will be celebrating Christmas this year. She said, “Christmas is usually at Shashi uncle’s house. Its been like a tradition over the years when Jennifer aunty was alive. So the whole family gets together and they make the most amazing Christmas lunch. All the pudding and the pie’s and turkey. Its really amazing. But what’s more amazing is that the whole family is present. Ridhhima’s husband is coming down so he is going to join us and Ranbir and (pause for a few seconds) everybody else will be there.”
What about RK’s girlfriend Katrina Kaif? Is she be invited, to which she replied with a pause, “Whoever he (Rambir) wants to get along with him, he can…whoever (smiles).”
Ranbir has not plan to settle down anytime soon, he once said, “Hopefully, [marriage will happen] sometime soon. Main bhi abhi thoda buddha ho raha hoon (I am getting old). I am 31-year-old. But right now, there’s no such plan. I am concentrating only on my movies. It’s a great time; I am getting fantastic [film] opportunities.”
The actor admits that rumors about his personal life troubles him at times. “You get bothered when there is complete fabrication of a lie. But what bothers me more is that they (media) involve my parents and my family, which I feel is unfair,” says Ranbir.
“It’s clear that people are interested in my personal life. In a way, it’s good because people are interested in knowing what I am doing. But I don’t take it too seriously”.
Katrina too is protective about her personal life. She has recently moved in with Ranbir Kapoor.
