Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s younger brother Sohail Khan has purchased a property in Dubai, E 24|7 confirms. A frequent visitor to the UAE, Salman, on several occasions, has revealed his intention to buy a property in the emirate, but has not invested in one so far. On the other hand, Sohail, who recently confessed about his intention to buy a property in Dubai, has already bought one.
The actor/director has purchased an apartment in a residential tower in Business Bay, a central business district in Dubai akin to New York’s Manhattan. Sohail was in Dubai earlier this year to shoot for his film ‘Mental’ and would have had an opportunity to look around for a proprety in Dubai.
Parvez Khan, Chairman, Pacific Ventures, confirmed to E 24|7: “Yes, Sohail has purchased an apartment in our residential tower, Burj Pacific. The contract (sales and purchase agreement) was signed last month.”
Burj Pacific is a 21-storey residential tower, comprises 150 apartments and penthouses. The project is expected to be completed by 2015. Sohail now joins Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shilpa Shetty who own properties in Dubai.
Shah Rukh and Aishwarya own villas in Palm Jumeirah and Jumeirah Golf Estate, respectively, while Shilpa owns an apartment in Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world.
It was reported earlier that Salman was planning to invest in a tourism project in Dubai. “We are in talks with Salman, but he hasn’t taken any decision yet,” the developer, who asked not to be named, had said. We are yet to get a confirmation from the developer, before we reveal the project’s name.
