Mangalore, Mar 25: SDPI candidate from Dakshina Kannada constituency Mohammed Haneef Khan filed his nomination at DC office along with proxy candidate Mohammed Akram Hasan on March 25, Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Haneef Khan said that the party would strive to work against the increasing corruption and communal incidents in the state.
He also said that and the BJP have misused their power, hence JD(S)-SDPI alliance will work to fulfill the demands of people.
The candidates were accompanied by JD(S) leaders Deviprasad Shetty and Sushil Noronha and SDPI leaders Abdul Majeed and Mohammed Kunhi. It is learnt that state units of JD(S) and SDPI have formed a pre-poll alliance to come out victorious in the Lok Sabha elections.
Prior to the nomination filing, the party workers along with candidates took out a procession from Ambedkar Circle to DC Office.
