Mangalore, Mar 25: DK Congress candidate B Janardhana Poojary said that Congress will not give place to any person who shows disrespect towards women and indulge in atrocities. Hence Congress seeks apology over the induction of a person accused in pub attack case during Congress convention.
Speaking at the press meet held at Congress Election office on March 25, Tuesday, he said that the induction of Dinakar Shetty, a person involved in Pub Attack was a mistake that has taken place without the knowledge and negative intention.
He also said that Congress has always shown high respect towards women and there was no reason to doubt on yesterday’s incident.
Speaking on PCPIR Project, Poojary said that the project will benefit large number of youths and offer them with job opportunities. But there was no intention of using farm land for the project, since Congress will not provide scope for hazardous industries.
State Minister Health Minister UT Khader, Congress leaders Harikrishna Bantwal, Kallige Taranath Shetty, Ivan D’Souza, Shashidhar Hegde and others were present.
