Karkala; Oct 02: An energetic, young, charismatic, Karkala Yuva congress President Ravishankar Sherigar has been appointed as the member of Indian railways advisory board of council by the central government. He has been working as member with south-west region’s advisory board of council until 2005.
He has been appointed by the union government based on the recommendations of union ministers M Veerappa Moily and Mallikarjuna Kharge.
Ravishankar has thanked both M Veerappa Moily and Mallikarjuna Kharge for their recommendations in appointing him as member of Indian railways advisory board of council of south-western railway division.
He said further that in the days to come, as a member of the advisory board of council along with giving suitable suggestions, the matters related to local railways will also be discussed in the regional level meeting, which will be held on October 5th , he said.
