Mangaluru, December 22: A case has been filed with the police against the Bhajrang Dal association which forcibly stopped the screening of SRK’s ‘Dilwale’ movie in Mangaluru and other parts of the district, and it has been urged that chance should be given for freely screening the movie.

The coordinator of Citizen Forum, Mangaluru, Vidya Dinakar has given a complaint to the Pandeshwar police here.

The activists of Hindu associations have torn the banners of ‘Dilwale Movie’ that was put up in the city. In addition, they also threatened the staffs of the multiplexes demanding not to screen the movie, where it was being screened and were successful in stopping the screening of the movie. In this view, suitable legal actions should be taken against Bhajrang Dal leader Sharan Pumpwell who led the protest on Sunday and also against the leaders and activists of Hindu-associations. Provision must be made for freely screening the movie, stated Vidya Dinakar in her in her complaint.

Vidya Dinakar has urged to give permission for immediately screening the ‘Dilwale’ movie again and has also urged to provide adequate security to the owners and staffs of theaters.
