Mangaluru, December 3: International day of disabled persons was held at Town hall in the city with the sponsorship of Lions Club, Mangaluru on December 3rd, Thursday.
President of Lions Club M Sudhakar Shetty inaugurated the event.
Addressing the audience he said, disability is not a curse. Many physically challenged persons have made remarkable achievements in various fields such as music, sports, etc. If the physically abled persons have any sort of problems or demands, those will be addressed if brought to the notice. The state government and we are along with you, he said.
Prior to the stage program, a grand procession was taken up by the physically abled students from the front of University college in the city to the Townhall.
On this occasion, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim, ZP CEO Srividya, convener Chandramohan, Ganesh Shetty, and others were present on the stage.
