Mangaluru, December 2: Government bus facility will be provided from Mangaluru and Udupi to Kateel Shree Durga Parameshwari temple. In addition, from Dharmsathala, Subramanya, Udupi, Kollur and other famous temples, government bus facility to connect Kateel temple will be made and emphasis will be laid for tourism, said State Muzrai Minister Manohar Tashildar.
He spoke to media representatives after visiting Kateel temple. He said, more attention will be taken on the basic facilities at the temple. Plans are going on to utilize the income obtained at Kateel and other 160 A-grade and 154 B-grade temples, towards their development, he said.
Answering to the question on making permanent the jobs of the employees in Kateel and other temples belonging to muzrai department, the minister said, case is going on in the court about joining the temples to the state charity department. After it is resolved, the inspection will be done, he said.
On this occasion, temple’s priest Vasudeva Asranna, Laxminarayana Asranna, Anantapadmanabha Asranna, Harinarayana Asranna, Shree Kshetra Perara Administrative Board president Sudheer Prasad Shetty and others were present.
