This is a very good project. By tying up with the Mangaluru traffic police department, the ‘Car-free day’ can run smoothly. Number of vehicles are rising in Mangaluru. Every person must rest his or her motor vehicle for at least a day in a month, he said.

Ganesh Nayak, Owner of Jyothi Cycle Company and also convener of Mangaluru Bicycle Club said, a lot of problems are faced by cyclists while riding. They are abused while riding on the road and do not have separate track. Plans are also going on to organize awareness programmes in the educational institutions, he said.
