Each vote cast by citizens expects development: Former Minister Janardhan Poojary

Mangaluru, November 9: The results of Bihar elections is a lesson to all, including the Prime Minister and the chief ministers of all states, said Former Union minister and Senior Congress leader B Janardhan Poojary in a press meet held at the district Congress office here on Monday November 9^th.

Poojary said, Country is important; not the religion, caste or creed. Each vote cast by the citizens expects development and not the politics of hatred. In this regard, the people of Bihar have given their answer. By creating hatred, country will not survive. Today we need peace in the society. I congratulate and salute the people of Bihar, he said.

The PM should correct his mistakes. His mode of functioning is not right. Tolerance is important for development. If there is no peace in the country, how would you develop it? Protecting the democracy is Prime Minister’s responsibility. Only then the nation survives, Poojary said.

Speaking about Yettinahole project, Poojary said, we do not want Yettinahole project. Students have come to the roads and protested. Because of Sadananda Gowda and Veerappa Moily, the CM wants to sacrifice Karnataka. Give a permanent solution to the people, I know the CM is capable of doing it. If the CM continues with Yettinahole project, Congress in Karnataka will see the same fate as BJP in Bihar. Instead of going to Delhi, the BJP leaders are protesting here. Let BJP take all its 19 MPs to Delhi and include Congress MPs too. Let them meet the PM and explain the situation to him, said Janardhan Poojary.

Janardahn Poojary, speaking about the recent Prashant Poojary murder case said, when clashes arises between Hindus and Muslims, cases are filed against minorities and backward communities like Billawas. Brahmins and Konkanis do not involve in such acts, and I congratulate their parents. We all need to learn from them. I saw Prashant’s mother crying on TV. It feels bad when a boy from our community is murdered. We do not want hatred but have to live in peace which I have been telling since many years, he said.
