Mangaluru, October 26: A youth was murdered after a gang war took place late night on Sunday October 25th at Thokottu outskirts of Mangaluru.
The deceased youth is identified as Vikram R alias Vicky Bolar (28), resident of Bolar.
It learnt that Vicky Bolar had been to attend the ‘Mehandi’ ceremony. While returning home on a two wheeler after dinner, three persons followed Vicky Bolar in a Scorpio vehicle and hacked him to death near Vinamra bar in Thokkotu.
Sources said that Vicky Bolar was a rowdy-sheeter. It is suspected that the murderers belonged to rival gang of Ravichandra Poojary alias Psycho Vicky. It is said that pre-existing rivalry might be the reason behind the murder.
ASP Kalyan Shetty, Ullal inspector Savitra Teja, SI Bharathi and other police personnel visited the crime spot.
A case has been registered by Ullal police and investigations are on.
