Suratkal, October 3: Fire erupted in a house at Kattipalla second block near Suratkal on the night of October 2nd, damaging it partially.
The house ‘Jumma Manzil’ owned by Hakeem is located close to the Jumma Masjid in Katipalla.
It is said that at around 8pm on October 2nd while Hakeem switched on the TV, it burst into flames which then spread to the house. Immediately the neighbours rushed at the spot and tried to extinguish the fire until the fire extinguishers arrived at the spot and extinguished the fire.
It is said, household items such as TV, phone, computer, laptop and other items were completely burnt due to fire. The loss is estimated at Rs 4 lakhs, it gathered.
MLA Mohiuddin Bava, and Corporator Basheer Ahmed has visited the spot.
