Udupi, October 3: A young woman expired and around 10 passengers suffered injuries in an accident near Mabukala bridge in Brahmavar on Saturday October 3rd.
Merita D’Silva (23), is the deceased. She was working as clerk at SMS College, Brahmavar.
It is learnt that the accident took place when a fish truck dashed to Merita D’Silva while she was walking towards a bus which halted to pick the passengers. After hitting Merita, the truck collided to the rear end of the bus. The fish truck was moving from Kundapur to Udupi.
Merita was rushed to a hospital in Brahmavar where she expired. Ten other bus passengers suffered injuries who are admitted to a private hospital in Brahmavar.
A case has been registered by Brahmavar police.
