Mangaluru, July 13: Activists of CPI(M) and DYFI staged protest on Monday, July 13th against the undue delay in the opening of the newly constructed Padil-Bajal railway under-bridge.
Addressing the protesters, Sunil Kumar Bajal said the delay of the under-bridge opening has caused great inconvenience to the public’s as the road has remained close for traffic since last October. He said due to the negligence of the MCC the work has been pending although the railways had consented for the revised approach plan.
The demand for under-bridge was a very old demand of the local residents as the traffic movement was being effected as the railway gate there used to get closed frequently.
This under-bridge was expected to be opened by February – 2015.
