Ullal, May 27: Temporary Police Training School and the Karnataka State Reserve Police 7th battalion, under their aegis; the exit march of the under-training batch of the KSRP Bengaluru- 1, 3, 4, 9 and 10th battalion including Shiggavi unit Special Reserved Police constables was held at parade grounds in Assaigolli here on Tuesday, May 27th.
Praveen Sood, (I P S) Additional Director General of Police, KSRP Bengaluru was the chief guest on this occasion.
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Sood said for the first time in the state, Women’s Police Force will be begun shortly.
KSRP Women’s force is begun in Belgaum. In the first women’s company 120 candidates are selected. As separate centres should be opened for women, at present 220 women constables will be employed. Works are going on to completely modernize KSRP wing of the state. 1000 young constables and sixty sub-inspectors are chosen and joined to the team. The government has already ordered to select the same number of candidates even in the next year.
Over a span of three months, the government has promoted 900 constables. With this the staffs who served as constables since a long period were promoted to SI cadre and got retired from service. 1000 head constables will also be promoted in the coming months. With this, the staffs will get a chance to get a chance to rise into the cadre of RSI and RPI before their retirements.
Modern bus facility, 15 days compulsory causal leave will be provided and 10 days leave on request will be provided, he said.
Malini Krishnamurthy (IPS) – KSRP Director General, Bangalore, Police Commissioner S Murugan, District Superintendent of Police –Dr S D Sharanappa, KSRP 7th wing commandment C Rangaswamy and others were present on this occasion.
