Mangaluru, February 3: Gold ornaments worth 5.06 lakhs which was brought for the bride to wear during an engagement ceremony were reported to be stolen on February 1st. A complaint regarding this has been lodged at Pandeshwar Police station.
For the engagement program of Navya, daughter of Narayana Shetty; a room was booked in a city based hotel. In the room number 304 of the hotel, his daughters Navya and Dravya had lodged. Navya had removed her gold ornaments worth Rs 5.06 lakhs and placed it in a jewel box, which was kept inside a carrier bag in the room.
By 12.30pm in the afternoon, she locked the room and left to the function. Later she returned to the room at 3.30 pm, collected her carrier bag from the room and returned back to her home. Around 4 pm, when she opened the carrier bag at home, she found that the jewel box which she had placed in it was missing, states the complaint which was field at Pandeshwar police station.
