Mumbai : It was a grand ceremony in Bunts Sanga’s Smt. Radhabai T. Bhandary Auditorium, Buntara Bhavana, Mumbai on 14th April. Bunts Sangha Mumbai celebrated Bisu Parbha & Bunts Day Celebration and even Annual Get-together 2014 with packed audience even outside the Auditorium.
President CA Shankar B. Shetty inaugurated the programme followed by hoisting of Bunts flag. Welcoming the community people CA Shankar B Shetty said to keep our Tulunadu culture alive and to introduce it to our present and new generation we are celebrating Bisu Parbha every year. We are also celebrating Bunts Day and helping the needy students of our community for their higher education.
Latha V. Senava, Consultant, Trainer and Life Coach was the Chief Guest on this occasion said out of India’s total population about 44% are children. But due to foreign culture most of the children are away from our Indian culture. It is necessary to save and strengthen our culture by educating our youths about our culture. Industrialist Jayaram N. Shetty inaugurated Childrens’ hostel. Lata J Shetty, Vice President Karnire Vishwanath Shetty and other office bearers CA Sadashiva Shetty, CA Satish Shetty, Ulthoor Mohandas Shetty, Pravin B Shetty, Youth Wing Chairman Shiva Prasad Shetty, Ashok Pakkala, Harish Vasu Shetty and others were present.
In the award ceremony Smt. Radhabhai T. Bhandary Memorial award was presented to Sujaya R. Shetty, Ex. Chairperson of Mahila Vibhag, Smt. Prema Narayan Rai Award presented to a well-known social worker, Sheela K. Shetty and Kananjaru Anand Shetty Memorial Award to renowned Yakshagana Artist Raghunath Alva.
Annual get together 2014 was held in the evening. Outstanding achievement award for the most enterprising Bunt of the year was presented to Manmohan R. Shetty, CMD of Adlab Imagica. This award was sponsored by Dr. P.V. Shetty in memory of his brother late Ramanath S. Payyade. Dr. Krishna Hegde introduced Manmohan R. Shetty. After receiving this prestigious award, addressing the people Manmohan Shetty said this is encouraging for me to do more work in this age. I don’t know if I am deserving for this as there are lot of people done more than me. He donated the cash award back to Bunts Sangha and suggested to start a new fund. He also thanked Payyade family for sponsoring this award.
Actor Sharman Joshi who was present also felicitated by the dignitaries present.
Felicitation to some of the community members for their various achievements and contribution was held. Manohar R. Shetty in the presence of his son, Dr. Arun Shetty, Aarathi Shashikiran Shetty along with her husband, mother and mother-in-law, Mrs. & Mr Jayasheela Shetty, Mrs. & Mr. Ashok R. Shetty, Permude, Mrs. & Mr. Prabhakar K. Shetty, Vinay Shetty in the presents of his parents and International TT player Sanil Shetty. Yakshagana artist Ajekar Balakrishna Shetty also felicitated along with cash award.
Replying to the felicitation Aarati Shashikiran Shetty recollected and spoke about the contribution of Bunts senior personalities and said my dream about our community is without dowry, none of the community children without education and without food.
Industrialist Sudhir V. Shetty who inaugurated the renovated Muktananda Sabhagraha said the committee is hardworking committee. Let us support them.
CMD of All Cargo Logistics Ltd Shashikiran Shetty was present as chief guest and spoke during the occasion. President of Buntara Yane Nadavara Sangha, Mangalore and President of Federation of World Bunts Ajit Kumar Rai Malady who was the guest of honor explained about celebrating Bisu Parbha and recollected the contribution of Mumbai Bunts for their contribution to the development of the districts.
President CA Shankar B. Shetty welcomed the guests, Hon. Gen. Secretary CA Sadashiva B. Shetty presented a brief report about the Sangha. Ashok Pakkala compared the programme.
