Mumbai : On 16th Oct, 2013 Konkani Play SATYAM VADA DHARMAM CHARA was successfully staged at Dr Vishwesvarayya Sabhagrah, Matunga (West ) by Ram Sevak Sangh, Shree Ram Mandir, Wadala in collaboration with Goa Konkani Acadamy. All artists have played their respective roles welland gave brilliant performances under Direction from LIMCA FAME Dr. Chandrashekhar Shenoy. Some of the oustanding piece of action, dialogue delivery and facial expression was demonstrated by DEVANNA BHAT The Central Character of the play (enacted by KAMALAKSHA SARAF) and SHIVARAYA, the Villain of the play (enacted BY ANANDRAYA KINI ) and GANGAMAI, the Bhat’s frustrated wife (ENACTED BY VASUDHA PRABHU ) and SUBBANNA BHAT, thr temple priest(ENACTED BY Tonse Venkatesh Shenoy ).
The other cast included budding scintilating Singer actor Bhalachandra Prabhu, senior Artist Melgongolli Ravindra Pai, V.V.Pai, Vinod Pai, Shaila Pai and Others. The Music and Bhajans from Keertankar and his accompanists was mindboggling. Light and Sound effects along with stage craft by Dr. Chandrashekhar Shenoy together with Pradeep Rangankar(sets) was praiseworthy.
Make up was aptly provided by Shantaram Mahale while stage assistance was given by Suresh Kini. Ram Sevaks and Sevika’s have struggled all along for the success of the play written by Kasargod Gopinath Kamath.
The almost packed audience have enjoyed the 2 Hours stint thoroughly with great degree of satisfaction thus resulting into kudo’s and appreciation all over.
