The Chinnaswamy stadium here has been turned into a virtual fortress on the eve of the final match of the IPL season 7 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab scheduled to be held on Sunday.

The Bangalore city police have carried out anti-sabotage checks at the stadium, said a senior police official. Around 100 CC TV cameras have been mounted at vantage locations to monitor the movement of the crowd.

At least 1,000 policemen led by the city Police Commissioner Raghavendra Auradkar will ensure fool-proof security at the stadium.

The city police have requested the public to follow all security directives issued by the police and to co-operate accordingly. All entry gates to the stadium would be opened three hours before the match.

Bollywood stars Shahrukh Khan, who owns KKR and Preity Zeinta, who owns Kings XI Punjab, are expected to come and put up a grand performance before the start of the match.
