Group clash leaves eight injured in Ragimuddanahalli

Tension prevailed at Ragimuddanahalli in Mandya taluk on Thursday midnight, when about 15 people belonging to one group allegedly attacked members of another group over a trivial issue, prompting the Police Department to deploy additional personnel in the village.

The group clash, according to the police, erupted after a member of one group went to answer nature’s call near the house of a villager. Immediately, some miscreants went berserk and attacked other members of that group in the village.
Property damage

The miscreants allegedly damaged a few vehicles, including a tractor, according to the police.

The situation has been brought under control.

“We are on the lookout for others involved in the incident,” Superintendent of Police Bhushan Gulabrao Borase told presspersons. A case has been registered and a probe ordered into the incident. In all, eight persons were injured and they have been admitted to a hospital in Mandya.
