The deadline to add names in the voters’ list ended on Sunday. On the last day to add names, citizens queued up in front of the various centres across the city.

Ganesh Chandra Nath, a resident of Koramangala, was just among the thousands of people who visited the registration centres. “I got to know through someone that today is the last day to register. There was a slight confusion, as I did not have my Aadhaar card as I only have an acknowledgement slip. I finally applied by attaching a copy of my PAN card,” he said.

Babu Paul, another resident of Koramangala, was happy to find that the officials at the registration centre were patient, approachable and friendly. “I thought the voter registration would be a time-consuming process. But the officials were helpful and the whole process was completed in a short time,” he said.
