Bangalore, December 8: A cartoonist employed with a Kannada daily was arrested on Saturday morning by the Ashok Nagar police for allegedly harassing a woman. The accused, identified as Hadimani T.F., was arrested from his Kanakapura Road residence.
The police said that the victim had assigned the job of making illustrations for a book cover. In that connection, there was interaction between the two. In course of time they exchanged phone numbers and the accused allegedly started sending lewd messages and also texts to her on a social networking site. The woman filed a police complaint on November 25th, but it took some time for the police to arrest the accused as they did not have the proper address. Police said he has been booked under section 354 of the IPC for outraging the modesty of a woman.
