See new-look Bangalore airport through special glasses

BANGALORE, December 6:  Those of you not planning to take a flight from the Bengaluru International Airport anytime soon can still see the new terminal 1A (T1A), which will be opened on December 14.

Bangalore International Airport Ltd. (BIAL), the airport operator, will preview the new additions to the airport through wearable technology such as Google Glass.

Apart from carrying the Google Glass, a wearable computer with a head-mounted display developed by Google, ‘Smile Bengaluru vehicles’ will be fitted with ‘Glasstrons’ (also a head-mounted display) and ‘Photoboxi’ that will give Bangaloreans a virtual tour of the features, services and facilities.

The vehicles will have technology that will offer two-minute views of the airport, a release said.

Three such vehicles will tour the city until December 13. Details of where you can see them and when are expected to be available on www.bengaluruairport.com
