Volvo fire tragedy: AP police team visits transport company’s office in Bangalore

BANGALORE: A four member police team led by the officer of the rank of police inspector, visited Jabbar travels head office in Kalasipalya, collected relevant documents including original passengers list, tax certificates, permit copies and the details of transport license. Later the team visited Volvo office in Yelachalahalli in Hosakote.

The team is said to have collected the purchase history of the multi axle Volvo bus and other details including services done and updating of the fitness certificate.

“They have not shared any vital information with us. The team arrived here on Sunday and visited the Jabbar travels office on Monday morning,”Bangalore police said.

Meanwhile, police sources said that 19 bodies have been identified by the Hyderabad DNA center. “The identification has been confirmed with the bereaved families and the identified bodies will be sent to cremation within a day or two. We are hopeful that the rest of the bodies will be identified within couple of days,” sources said.
