BANGALORE: Meteorological department said that the Cyclone Phailin will not affect either Bangalore or Karnataka in a big way. Speaking to TOI, director B Puttanna said that only bordering districts and coastal region may get some rain.
“Since the Cyclone Phailin is moving at far and safe distance from state, Bangalore will not be affected in anyway. However, bordering districts of Gulbarga, Bidar and some Northern Karnataka places along with places on coastal belt will get rain, that too maximum of 5cm,” he said.
