BANGALORE, April 1, 2013

The Karnataka High Court on Monday asked the authorities not to discontinue analogue signals to televisions in Bangalore and Mysore till April 5.

Justice S. Abdul Nazeer passed the order while extending earlier interim order by which authorities were directed to continue analogue signals till today. As per the Union government notification analogue TV signals in Bangalore and Mysore city were to be discontinued from April 1, 2013 and signals to be in digital form through set top box.

The court extended the time to April 5 as the Union government sought time to file objections.
