UIDAI rolls out multilingual website

Bangalore, Sept 20, 2013: The UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) multilingual website was launched on Friday by its Chairman Nandan Nilekani.

The website will now be available to the public in five different languages, Kannada, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi and Gujarati, in addition to Hindi and English.

UIDAI is planning to add Assamese, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi and Telugu to the list as part of the second phase of its plan. At the current time, the Aadhaar letter is printed in 13 different languages.
