BANGALORE: It has been 10 days now and accused AnkurDanuk, his parents BalaKishanDanuk and KamaleshaDanuk are still absconding after Koramangala police filed a dowry harassment case on them.
Earlier on July 25, prime accused Ankur Danuk, said to be an employee with Photon Infotech, Whitefield, Bangalore, had brutally attacked his wife and beat her with shoe, belt and dashed her head into a wall. The injured victim, who is also mother of a six-year-old boy, was shifted to a private hospital and police took her statement on the hospital bed.
Learning of the police complaint coupled with the fear of getting arrested, Ankur is said to have vanished from Bangalore and is hiding since 10 days. “The victim has been brutally attacked and her husband seems to have tried to strangle her also. We have booked a dowry harassment case and are looking for the accused. It is sad that an educated family man like Ankur behaves this way,” Koramangala police said.
