Bangalore, August 4;Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday said attempts to divide society in the name of religion or community should not be allowed.
Speaking to reporters at an Iftar party hosted by him at the Palace Grounds, he said all citizens of the country are equal before the constitution of India. But a section of people
keep making efforts to divide society. Such attempts should not be allowed, he added.
Governor H R Bhardwaj said Karnataka is known for harmony. People of the State have lived in peaceful co-existence and it should continue.
