Bengaluru: In a case of bestiality, Mohammed Kaleem, a car painter by profession, choked his six-month old son to death for crying on Wednesday.

Additional Commissioner of Police Alok Kumar said, Kaleem has been arrested.

“My husband often used to beat the child for crying. He hit the infant twice or thrice earlier. On Wednseday, he beat the infant till it fell unconscious, and then he left home”, said Shabreen, the infant’s mother.

The incident took place around 7 pm in D J Halli locality. “My husband was feeding the child, and I was busy cooking. Suddenly the child cried and I thought he would calm the child.

The child stopped crying after sometime. When I came out of the kitchen, I found the child sleeping. I checked his pulse, and it had stopped”, said the infant’s mother.

Police said, the man probably clamped his palm over the infant’s face and in the process he strangulated him to death. Mohammed Kaleem was drunk at that time, police said.
