BANGALORE: A 25-year-old woman working as an office assistant in a chartered accountant’s office have accused a stranger who promised her a job and later allegedly raping her on Friday evening.
In her complaint to Koramangala police the woman a resident of Doddakere gate in Anekal Taluk, Bangalore rural district stated that she was returning home and was waiting for a bus near Forum Mall around 3.30pm, when a stranger befriended her. The man over conversation promised her to get a placement in a company but asked her to accompany him on his motorcycle to his sister’s place.
Trusting him, she got on the motorcycle which took her to a Eucalyptus grove and allegedly raped her, she told the police. During the rape the stranger also inflicted stab wounds on her palm and injuries on her left lower arm, the complaint stated. She had also stated that she can recognize the stranger once he is caught.
Koramangala police have registered a case or rape against the stranger and subjected the woman for medical examination. An all out search has been ordered to trace the stranger who allegedly raped the woman.
