Freedom_struggle_photos_exhibition_mysoreMysore: The Mysore Dasara may have ended but Mysoreans still have a lot to look forward to.

The ongoing 90-day Dasara exhibition has on display some rare pictures of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi with Mohamed Ali Jinnah, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, Jawaharlal Nehru and Vallabhai Patel among others taken on various occasions, including the Indian roundtable conference in London, 1931.

Visitors to the exhibition also get to see pictures of the Salt March, the Dandi March, the Sabarmathi Ashram and of the Mahatma with his wife Kasturba and lawyer friends. Besides 30 government stalls, 258 commercial stalls showcasing Dasara dolls, and Rajasthani marble art, a food court and an amusement park for children  are attracting at least 20,000 visitors a day during the week and nearly double that number during the weekends.

A section featuring pictures of ancient cities and heritage sites, excavated sculptures, coins and jewels of Hampi is proving of huge interest as well.
