A huge pothole had appeared in the same place in the last few days due to which the buses and the other heavy vehicle drivers struggled to move on the road. Though the pits on the road are getting deeper and wider day by day; the concerned authorities are smartly withdrawing from their responsibility.

A report was published in the media several times. Following which one of the municipality member came forward paying a special attention and the pits were temporarily filled making way for a smooth traffic flow. Ahead of it, due to stagnant rain water; a new death pit is awaiting a victim. The passengers have to hold their breath whilst the vehicles wade through the ditch. The bus passengers will be clenching their fists thinking whether the bus might fall into the ditch or not.

Due to the pothole on the Service Road; the contract Carriage and the government buses arriving form Dharmasthala, Puttur, Belthangady, Uppinangady, vitla and other areas are moving through the fly over from Thursday. The passengers will be off-boarded at the flyover from the buses which do not enter the city. Hence it is inevitable for the passengers to walk on the service road itself.
