Mangalore, August 16: On Friday August 15th late night a heart rendering incident occurred at Thokkottu Junction in which a man was stabbed to death by his friends with whom he was partying. The victim is Yathish (30), a resident of Someshwar was an auto rickshaw driver by profession.
It is learnt that the murder happened around midnight. A grand party had been organized near a bar in Thokkottu Junction to celebrate, ironically, the anniversary of Indian independence. Few persons in the party boozed heavily and began to quarrel each other in a state of intoxication. This fight worsened soon which ended in the murder of the above youth.
The knife which was used for stabbing was recovered from the spot. It is said that a person named Uday and two others, who were well-known to Yathish, him in the abdomen region with the knife. He was badly injured and was admitted into a private hospital in the city. Since he failed to respond positively to treatments, he breathed his last.
It is gathered that the party was arranged at Yathish residence. His friends Sathsih, Ganesh, Uday, Vikram, and Vinay had participated. It is said that in a jovial manner Uday had made fun of Yathish by mentioning the name of a girl during the party. Hearing this Yathish grew angry which led to quarrel between the two.
Uday and others who left Yathish’s home thereafter, reached near the said bar and invited Yathsih to come there. As soon as Yathish came there, he was stabbed to death by the trio, it is said.
Ullal station cops are always compelled to remain on their toes because of nasty incidents which occur within their limits over minor issues. This is the most recent case among them.
