Mangalore, August 16: On August 14th Thursday, the Urwa cops have arrested four vehicle lifters. The accused are namely Prathik(19) , resident of Bejai new road, Rakshith(19) resident of car street, Shishir(19) a resident of Kalakunj and Karthik(19), a native of Sakleshpur.
Close to Kottara, when the cops were checking the vehicles, noticed a bike without number plate. It was stopped and on interrogation it was transparent that the rider did not possess any documents. Cops took the accused to the police station. On further probing, he revealed that the bike was stolen from Hoigebail and also stated the name of the three who accompanied him.
According to the cops, they had involved in the theft of bikes at Hat hill, Yeyyadi; an Alto car and burgled small shops.
The crew of cops H M Poovappa, Vishalakshi, PSI Manahor, Omdas, Santhosh Sashihithlu, Kantharaj and Santhosh were present.
