Kundapur celebrates 68th Independence Day with true spirit

Kundapur, August 15: Every citizen of the country must be united by adopting the policy of equality, everyone must put their effort towards the development of the country, said Kundapur Sub Division Officer Yogishwar. He was speaking after hoisting the national flag on the 68th Independence Day celebration organized by Taluk administration at Kundapur Gandhi Maidan.

Speaking further, he said that India is the largest democracy in the world. The country has eliminated the poverty and has shown development in every field. The state has given importance to the development in the various fields like finance, social, farmers welfare and education.

Kundapur Taluk Panchayat president Bhaskar Billawa, Zilla Panchayath vice president Prakash Mendon, member Ganapathi T Shriyan, Kundapur Sub division police inspector C B Patil, Block education officer Gopala Shetty, Town Municipal president Kalavathi, members Gunarathna, Vijaya S Poojary, Pushpa Rajesh, Kaveri and other officers participated as the chief guest.

Attractive march past was conducted by the scout, guides, home guards, fire brigade, NCC, NSS and the Police band under the leadership of Traffic police station Sub Inspector Imran and Kundapur Station S I Nasir Hussain.

 

Koteshwar: Independence Day at Girls Hostel

Kundapur: Bijady Gram Panchayath member Ravindra Dhodmane hoisted the flag at Backward Class and Minorities Welfare Department’s Girls Hostel today.

Reshma compered the event. Student Sangeetha, welcomed the guests and gathering. Hostel warden Subramanya proposed vote of thanks. Staffs of Hostel were present on the occasion.

 

Kundapur Journalist’s Union:

The Journalists Union of Kundapur distributed fruits to the patients of Kundapur Government Hospital as a part of Independence Day celebration.

Kundapur Government Hospital director Udayashankar inaugurated the programme.

Union president Yogish Shiroor, secretary Nityananda Ganiga, Vice president T P Manjunath, Treasurer K M Umesh, working committee members Sunil S G, Yogish Kumbhashi and others were present.
