Udupi, August 13, 2014: The District Police welfare Association (Reg) of Udupi has provided loans for 14 empolyees, through a cheque bearing a sum of Rs 25,000 to undertake house repair, buy vehicle, study and other purposes. The cheques were handed over by the Udupi district SP and Udupi Police Society’s President P.Rajendra Prasad.
On this occasion, Police welfare association vice president and additional SP Santhosh Kumar, Udupi police sub divisional Dy Sp Dr Prabhudeva B Mane were present.
Review of association: Udupi district police employees association (Reg) was established a year ago on 19-08-2013. The society’s work was carried on at police inspector’s office itself. This association, consists of 976 members and a has deposit of about 16 lakhs .In this amount, loan is issued to the police officers /constables in three phases- in which 16 members in first installment, 15 in second and 14 in third installment a total of 45 members are given a total of 11 lakhs and 20,000 rupees as loan from the society.
Employees are investing their money under shares, deposit and saving schemes.
