Kasargod, Aug 08: The prime accused in the case of alleged gang rape of a young woman at Paivalike Bayar on August 5, Tuesday evening, has been arrested by the Manjeshwar Police.
Zakir alias Zakaria ((27) is the arrested person from Paivalike Baryar. The police are searching for the other two accused.
The three accused are facing charges of dragging the young woman to an isolated area and raping her, they also face charges of attempt to murder. The incident had taken place when the 21 year old woman was returning home from the town.
It is learnt that the victim is recovering in the hospital.
