Corporation Bank, a premier public sector Bank, opened its new branch at Mirzapur in the State of Uttar Pradesh, a place that is world famous for manufacturing carpets and rugs The new branch of the Bank was inaugurated on August 4, 2014 by Shri S R Bansal, Chairman & Managing Director of the Bank. Shri N B Kulasekaran, Circle General Manager Shri Rajesh K Verma, Deputy General Manager, Corporation Bank, other dignitaries, customers and guests were present on the occasion.

The Bank has recently re-launched its new Savings Bank variant – “Corp Saral Plus”. It is a variant of SB account without minimum balance stipulation, where the customers can avail of a bouquet of facilities and add-ons along with personal accident insurance of Rs. 5 lakh at a nominal service charge of Rs. 100/- per annum.
For customer convenience and as part of green initiative, the Bank has launched digital passbook,named “Corp e-Passbook”, i.e., passbook on the mobile phone. Corp e-Passbook is available onAndroid, IOS and Windows platforms. It allows the customer to download and view the transactions in the account(s) on the mobile. The e-Passbook will have the facility of real-time/online updation of the customer accounts. It can be viewed both online and offline. It is a passbook facility for multiple accounts – i.e., the customer can download and view all his running accounts separately and it is also single repository for accounts across branches.
Corporation Bank has set up a wing named “Corp Kiran” – An association of Wives of Senior Executives of Corporation Bank under CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) for undertaking CSR activities. “Corp Kiran” has units in corporate office as well as at the Circles and Zones of the Bank. The CSR activities include various kinds of charitable deeds like provision of food & clothing for the poor school children, orphanages, old age homes, destitute homes, physically challenged people and medical help to people in distress from the weaker section of society.
Organizing health checkup, blood donation camps, community developmental activities benefiting poor and the disabled, green initiatives like tree plantation drives, maintaining greenery, engaging in empowerment activities like vocational trainings, adult education programmes, etc. are also a part of the CSR activities of the The Bank has a wide range of products and services which includes a host of IT Products and high tech delivery channels.
Corporation Bank has won the IBA Banking Technology Award 2012-13 for “Best Use of Mobility Technology in Banking”. Recently, Corporation Bank has bagged first & second prize under National Award for Excellence in MSE Lending and Lending to Micro Enterprises respectively for the year 2012-13, by the National Committee under the Ministry of MSME. The Bank has also bagged SKOCH Achiever Award for outstanding performance in SME Enablement during 2014.
